New Videos

Some videos from the past few weeks.

First up is a little look into the sort of wacky fun we have during bath time. It gets crazy in that tub.

Here's a montage from our trip to the pumpkin farm. We didn't realize at the time, but Ira had an ear infection. That's why he looks a little unhappy. I don't know why I look so grumpy. We actually had a great time.

This video is from the Molasses and Music festival at the Ellington Agricultural Center, which is just down the road from our house. We've been hanging out at farms and zoos a lot lately. There are no animals in the this clip, though. Here, we see Ira dancing to poorly sung gospel music.

And finally we have a video I made with Ira this afternoon. I started recording with the camera on our laptop, and Ira got excited watching himself. He's pointing at himself and saying, "Ira!"

I've posted pictures from our expeditions to the Pumpkin Patch and Molasses Fest on Picasa for you to browse at your convenience. Here's a few pics to encourage you to check out the rest.

Ira and Some Animals

Last month Ira had few encounters with animals. First, Ira and Kirsten went to the Nashville Zoo . I was stuck at work. Daddy misses out on all the fun.

Unfortunately, trying to wrangle a toddler (he's a toddler now, by the way. Crazy) makes it hard to take good pictures. At least that's Kirsten's excuse for not taking any good pictures. In this picture Ira's looking at some llamas. Maybe they're alpacas. I don't know. I was at the library.

Here Ira is in the petting zoo headed for a goat. This leads into our next animal encounter. We stopped in Asheville, NC on our way home from Charleston last month and took Ira to the WNC Nature Center to commune with the animals.

This bear climbed a tree for us, which was awesome. I didn't know non-koala/panda bears could climb trees. This black bear can. And fast. Faster than I could. Ira didn't really understand how cool this was to watch.

Ira did understand how cool it was to hang with sheep and goats, though. He doesn't always look very excited, but Ira is having the time of his life here.

Look at those horns! That's a ram. Crazy.
