Unfortunately I had to work, but Kirsten and Ira got to check out the awesome Chihuly at Cheekwood. Dale Chihuly is a crazy, glass blowing pirate, and he transformed the Cheekwood estate into an extraplanetary garden. I'm not usually a fan of blown glass, but seeing the mix of humongous glass sculpture and the botanical garden creates a vibrant, organic, science fictiony world that I can totally get behind. I'm jealous I didn't get to go.
